Sheldrake offers many local dining opportunities which include both stand alone and winery related options. All local restaurants cater to tourists, so casual attire is okay everywhere. Most offer changing schedules with the seasons, so check ahead if a particular option is important.

KIDDERS LANDING and O'MALLEYS (open seven nights/week) are located side by side 2 miles south on our waterfront road. Both offer generous portions at reasonable prices, indoor or outdoor seating, beautiful lake views, busy boat docks, and friendly service. Steaks, chicken, fresh seafood, pool table, darts, live music, active bar; the locals go here.

AMERICANA VINYARDS is 10 minutes south and offers an excellent menu with generous portions, focusing on made-from-scratch choices using whole, fresh, local ingredients.

HAZELNUT KITCHEN in Trumansburg, 15 minutes south, offers fine dining at local prices. Owned and operated by Culinary Institute of America grads, the menu is creative and all preparations are superb.

DANOS is located on Route 414 in Lodi. An authentic Austrian “Heuriger”, offering local wines, home baked European breads and smoked meats. The “Breads and Spreads” are not to be missed.

BOATYARD GRILL located 25 miles south at the southern tip of Cayuga Lake, in Ithaca, offers great boating atmosphere, indoor/outdoor waterfront dining and excellent steaks, seafood & bar. Open seven nights/week

Driving to Ithaca (25 miles) presents a world of options. Our favorites include The Heights Café, Just a Taste, Madeline's Patisserie, Thai Cuisine, Maxie's Supper Club and Blue Stone Bar and Grill. The M/V COLUMBIA offers an excellent dinner cruise of the south end of Cayuga Lake.
